A man has been charged after a woman was allegedly sexually touched during an early morning run in Sydney’s eastern suburbs.

A 33-year-old woman told police she was approached by a man and sexually touched on Bondi Road at Bondi about 5.30am on Thursday.

The man was not known to her.

Police released an image of a man they believe could assist with their inquiries late on Thursday.

The man was shown wearing a green jacket, blue shorts and fluorescent-green shoes, carrying a black duffle bag and riding a red bicycle.

About 3pm on Friday, a 51-year-old man was arrested at a property on Unwins Bridge Road at Tempe. He was taken to Newtown Police Station and charged with sexual touching without consent, trespassing, and hindering or resisting police.

The woman allegedly sexually touched in the incident, Jenna Dollard, told Nine News it was a “violation”.

“You feel so scared in that moment,” she said.

The man was refused bail to appear before court on Saturday.
