Rinku Singh Slams Second Consecutive Ranji Trophy Ton, Fans Blast BCCI For Ignoring Him

Rinku Singh continues to knock on the doors of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) selectors with his impressive performances in the ongoing Ranji Trophy. The southpaw has been out of the national team since the Zimbabwe T20I series and was also ignored for the New Zealand tour. However, the batter has once again hogged the limelight by smashing two consecutive centuries in India's premier domestic competition. Rinku, who represents Uttar Pradesh, scored 112 against Bihar in his very first game of the Ranji Trophy 2026-27 season. He has followed it up with an unbeaten 118 against Goa.
The fans on social media blasted the BCCI and questioned the selectors for ignoring the player. Check out some of the comments:
Rinku Singh has smashed back-to-back hundreds in the Ranji Trophy. He has been incredible across formats in domestic cricket, yet it's surprising that he is still waiting for a proper run with the Indian team or India A. @rinkusingh235

@SkNishan25 @Nsnnn25 Simply incredible 4 centuries & 2 half-centuries in his last 6 Ranji Trophy innings yet Rinku Singh is continuously overlooked for the national squad. An avrge hovering arnd 60 isn't just luck; it's elite consistency. Pure selection injustice. Pick pedigree over politics

@Rokte_Amarr_KKR How much more does Rinku Singh need to prove to earn his place back in the Indian team? @BCCI

Don't understand how the selectors are selecting players for Indian test team as they showed be selected on the basis of first class performance and not on the basis of ipl , very sad after seeing players like Rinku Singh not even getting, selected for the Indian test squad

Rinku's unbeaten knock rescued Uttar Pradesh from a precarious position before Goa made a steady start to reach 43 without loss at stumps on the opening day of their Ranji Trophy Elite Group A match in Kanpur on Sunday.
Rinku's patient knock, studded with 11 fours and two sixes, helped Uttar Pradesh recover from a top-order collapse and post 202 in 71 overs after opting to bat.
Goa were 43 without loss in 12 overs at stumps, with wicketkeeper-batter Shivendra Bhujbal unbeaten on 31 off 39 balls and Suyash Prabhudessai on 12. They trail by 159 runs.
Uttar Pradesh were in trouble early after Abhishek Goswami (5), Aryan Juyal (14) and Karan Sharma (0) departed cheaply, reducing the side to 33 for three.
Madhav Kaushik offered resistance with a 96-ball 45 before falling to Shubham Tari, leaving Uttar Pradesh at 90 for four.
Rinku then held the innings together as wickets continued to fall at the other end. He found little support from the lower order but ensured his side crossed the 200-run mark before remaining unbeaten.
Goa leg-spinner Yash Kasvankar was the pick of the bowlers, claiming five wickets for 86 runs in 25 overs. Ruthvik Naik took two wickets, while Tari and Lalit Yadav claimed one each.
