DWTS' Jenna Johnson Reveals Her Most Embarrassing Celeb Interaction

DWTS' Harry Shum Jr. Defends Dance Experience After He, Jenna Johnson Land Highest Score
Jenna Johnson wishes she could cha-cha-change some things about her meeting with James Corden.
Back in 2016, pro dancer appeared in a comedy sketch with Corden, in which the late-night talk show played an exaggerated version of himself tasked with choreographing a short routine for Dancing With the Stars.
But for Johnson, that was "probably the most embarrassed I've ever been."
"Honestly, I fumbled the time James Corden was on our show and we were trying to do a bit with him," she told E! News in an exclusive interview after DWTS' Oct. 13 episode. "I was not computing the bit."
Johnson, 32, recalled that Corden, 48, wanted her to "flock behind him" in her Paso Doble costume, but she simply didn't understand the assignment.
"I have the honor of meeting a lot of celebrities through the show," she added, "and I feel like I've not had my best moments all the time."
But Johnson does feel she's putting her best foot forward with her season 35 partner Harry Shum Jr., explaining that the pair "pulled out all the bells and whistles" for their samba routine set to "Yeah!" by Usher, Lil Jon and Ludacris.

"I want to go far in this competition with Harry," she continued. "He deserves to be here."
And even though the judges took some issue with the technicality of their routine—with Carrie Ann Inaba going so far as to pull out a sheet of paper to read off the definition of a lift—Johnson and Shum, 44, have no regrets about taking a "risk" with their performance.

"I'm so proud of our performance," Shum told E! after the episode. "I'm so proud that we got to still keep ourselves in the dance and not get that taken away from us."
