Allen Backs Fury To Brutally Stop Joshua In December Showdown

Translate

Former heavyweight contender Dave Allen has offered a sharp and uncompromising prediction for the December 11 blockbuster between Anthony Joshua and Tyson Fury, tipping “The Gypsy King” to settle the long-awaited feud in a rapid, decisive finish.

Having shared the ring in sparring with both British heavyweights during their respective careers, Allen possesses first-hand insight into what the two former world champions bring to the table.

However, speaking on his expectations for the Cardiff clash, Allen believes that recent mileage, inactivity, and defensive vulnerabilities spell serious danger for Joshua.

“The Prenga fight, Joshua’s punch resistance looks to be all gone,” Allen said. “I think he’s been down like six times in his last two professional contests.

“There has been lots of inactivity, and he doesn’t seem to be holding a shot the same way he used to, which is a worry at his age.

“One thing he can do Joshua is punch,” Allen said, highlighting the threat Fury would face if he were caught cleanly.

“I can’t see Fury coming and running, I think he’ll try to put him away early,” Allen explained. “Apparently that is the plan.

“I think Fury wins. And I think he wins very early,” he said.

As the countdown to December 11 continues, opinions from those who have traded blows with both men highlight just how thin the margin for error will be when the two heavyweights finally collide.
