The First Scary Movie Now Even Funnier (and Scarier) Thanks to a New 4K Ultra HD Steelbook

In 2000, a new horror/comedy franchise was born with Keenen Ivory Wayans’s Scary Movie, and the movie that launched five sequels (plus countless imitators) is now looking better than ever on 4K Ultra HD. In the parody movie, starring Carmen Electra, Marlon Wayans, Jon Abrahams, Shannon Elizabeth, Shawn Wayans, Cheri Oteri, and Anna Faris, “a group of teenagers are stalked by a very familiar masked movie madman. As the victims pile up, the razor-sharp satire delivers never-ending shocks and laughs.”

The new limited-edition Steelbook’s special features include additional scenes like “Hop-A-Long Shorty” and “Ray Calls a Play,” a behind-the-scenes featurette, and the movie’s original trailer. You can buy the Scary Movie 4K Ultra HD Steelbook now via Amazon, just in time for Halloween. And if you’re looking for viewing options that are basically the complete opposite of the R-rated parody movie, here’s Consequence’s look at 20 family-friendly favorites for the season.
