Kunle Afod speaks on cheating, sex toys after marriage collapse
Nollywood actor Kunle Afod has spoken about infidelity and the use of sex toys in relationships, questioning what he described as double standards between men and women.
The actor made the remarks during an interview with Kasnasty Sugar, where he also addressed his separation from his wife, Desola.
Before speaking about the separation, Afod apologised to women, acknowledging that his comments might offend some of them.
“Separation from my wife? This job is heavy to the extent that we sometimes don’t have time for our home. Did you want to hear? To all the women here, my apologies, please. I need to beg you guys first before I talk about my separation,” he said.
He subsequently discussed infidelity, arguing that some women found it difficult to tolerate certain behaviours from their husbands despite engaging in similar acts.
Afod also questioned why some women who used sex toys might condemn their husbands for doing the same.
“It’s easy for a woman to convince her husband to buy her a dildo; she will tell you that she doesn’t want to cheat on you. She would buy up to three dildos,” he said.
He further argued that the use of sex toys could also be viewed as a form of adultery, questioning why some women would not tolerate their husbands using similar products.
“Why is she not satisfied with just one dildo? That can also be referred to as adultery too. The same woman that has the confidence to use a dildo won’t take it lightly when she catches her husband using sex toys,” he added.
Speaking about the challenges in his marriage, Afod said the demands of his acting career sometimes left him with little time for his family.
Reports of a crisis in the actor’s marriage emerged in February 2026 after Desola allegedly moved her belongings out of their matrimonial home.
However, when contacted by Saturday Beats for comments on the development, Afod said he did not wish to speak about the matter.
