Yaakov Godo, the father of October 7 victim Tom Godo, interrupted Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu as the Israeli leader delivered a speech marking the third anniversary of the massacre at Mount Herzl in Jerusalem on Monday.
"It’s a disgrace that you didn’t protect those murdered on October 7," exclaimed Yaakov Godo. "The blood of my son and of another 1,200 people murdered in a single day is on his (Netanyahu's) hands and on his head."
The prime minister briefly paused his remarks amid the interruption before continuing his speech at the state ceremony to remember the victims and heroes of October 7.
According to KAN News, terrorists entered Tom Godo's home in Kissufim near the Gaza border on October 7, 2023, barricading themselves inside as the Godo family hid in the shelter. Once IDF soldiers took control of the house on October 8, 2023, they fired upon the door of the shelter after mistaking the occupants for terrorists, fatally striking Tom Godo.
