Dr. Ofweneke Calls For Self-Care and Accountability Among Men In Family Life

Translate

Media personality Dr. Ofweneke has called on men to prioritize personal peace, self-love, and accountability as they navigate romantic relationships and family leadership.

Speaking during the launch of Season 5 of the popular dating reality show Hello Mr. Right on Tuesday, October 6, 2026, the veteran TV host emphasized the essential duties and mental health needs of modern men.

“Men should always love themselves. A man is expected to always take accountability,” Ofweneke stated, urging men to remain active providers while guarding their emotional well-being. “When in a relationship, always know you are in charge of your wife and children. You must do everything to make sure you remain the best.”

He highlighted peace of mind as a core prerequisite for effective family support: “Your peace is also more important, because without peace you won’t be able to provide fully for your family.”

Additionally, Ofweneke advised men to let go of past missteps, noting, “As a man, forgive yourself. A lot of men have not learnt to forgive themeselves for everything, and your past doesn’t determine how you value your family in the future.”

Season 5 Focuses on Real-Life Relationship Dynamics

According to Ofweneke, the upcoming season of Hello Mr. Right will push beyond lighthearted romance to tackle core social issues impacting modern relationships, including finances, age gaps, personal grooming, and societal expectations.

“We will be very keen when incorporating basic social society conversation. From money, to age, to looks and grooming and conversation about finances, it’s all put in the show so that we have an open conversation,” he explained, acknowledging that some bold contestant personalities are bound to spark strong opinions among viewers.

The new edition sees actress and digital creator Trisha Khalid step in as co-host alongside Ofweneke—taking over from last season’s co-host Risper Faith—while veteran relationship coach Getrude Mungai returns to offer expert guidance.

Hello Mr. Right Season 5 kicks off with an auditions special on Saturday, October 17, 2026, followed by the main series premiere on Saturday, October 31, 2026.
