Uncharted 5 reportedly in the works at Naughty Dog, as well as more The Last of Us games

Naughty Dog has multiple projects in its pipeline for the next few years, and reportedly, the studio is turning its attention to new instalments for both Uncharted and The Last of Us.
But with Naughty Dog’s upcoming title, Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet, in the mix, you might be wondering how something as big as Uncharted 5 and a new The Last of Us game would fit in the timeline.
Here is everything we know so far surrounding what Naughty Dog could be potentially working on next.
In a report by MP1st, sources claim that Naughty Dog is working on Uncharted 5. Whether or not this new instalment will follow Nathan Drake is unknown. However, what can be confirmed is the next game is not a remake of previous titles.
The report goes on to say that the next Uncharted game will be the project Naughty Dog works on after Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet. And for The Last of Us Part 3, this title will allegedly be worked on after Uncharted.
These claims actually make sense, especially after studio head Neil Druckmann revealed further details on what the studio is focusing on.

In a charity stream, studio head Neil Druckmann revealed that its upcoming title, Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet, will be fully revealed in 2027.
Druckmann opened with: "The team is heads down on what is shaping up to be Naughty Dog’s most ambitious game yet."
"There’s an electricity around the studio right now as all the pieces come together, and we’re stoked to finally unveil Intergalactic in all its glory.
"But we need to cook for just a little bit longer."
"So, we want to set expectations: we’re going to be quiet for the rest of this year. In 2027, that changes. We’ll fully reveal Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet and give you a proper look at Jordan’s wild sci-fi adventure."
With the confirmation we’ll get a closer look at Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet next year, Druckmann turned to the studio’s other projects.
"Since Grounded II, we’ve talked about the possibility of telling more stories in the world of The Last of Us," Druckmann said.
"We have a couple of very exciting new projects in very early stages – so we can’t say much about them at this point. I will tell you that both projects will expand the canon of The Last of Us beyond Part I and Part II.
"The world of The Last of Us means a great deal to us, and we wouldn’t return to it unless we had something meaningful to say. We believe these stories are worth telling."
Although Druckmann didn’t explicitly confirm that the studio will return to the world of The Last of Us anytime soon, the reports from trusted sources, coupled with Druckmann addressing the huge title, alongside the success of the franchise with its critically acclaimed TV adaptation, it is likely we will see another instalment in the future.
However, fans will probably have to wait a long time before The Last of Us 3 is dropped, with Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet and Uncharted 5 seemingly first in the queue.
