Shane Gillis Drops F-Bomb on SNL

Translate

In an era when the president regularly drops the F-word (and contemplates livestreaming an execution), it hardly seems like a big deal when an SNL host does the same. Even so, it’s been nearly a decade since a host last uttered the expletive during a live broadcast (Sam Rockwell did so in 2018), and the word has been used so rarely said during the show’s 52-season history that entire articles have been dedicated to documenting each instance. This weekend’s host Shane Gillis added his name to that short list when he flubbed a line during a Dr. Seuss parody sketch and accidentally let an F-bomb fly.
