Her husband Michael Douglas has spent the last week candidly cataloguing his many sexual exploits as he promotes his autobiography, One Helluva Ride.

So no wonder Welsh actress Catherine Zeta–Jones seems keen to remind the lothario of her charms now she is the only woman in his life.

On stage on Friday night, the 57–year–old struck a risque pose reminiscent of the famously steamy scene from Basic Instinct in which her husband's detective character tries to retain focus as Sharon Stone provocatively crosses her legs.

Appearing at New York Comic Con, Ms Zeta–Jones donned a gold sequinned dress that gave fans more than a peek of her toned thigh – with the star later admitting in an Instagram post that she was flashing a 'whole bunch of leg'.

It comes after Douglas, 82, shared details of his sexual exploits in his book, including confessing to an affair with Kathleen Turner, his co–star in the 1984 movie Romancing The Stone.

He wrote: 'Kathleen and I fell hard for each other and began a relationship. It wasn't a fly–by–night affair; it grew naturally from how closely we were working together, how much pressure we were under, how much we respected and cared for one another, and how attracted we were to each other.'

Douglas also told how he had a fling with his Basic Instinct co–star Jeanne Tripplehorn, who was nearly 20 years his junior, admitting he 'fell very hard' for her.

He revealed that when he was married to film producer Diandra Luker, she declined to spend the night with him during a trip to Los Angeles so he called another woman to join him in bed.

And when he began dating Ms Zeta–Jones in 1998, he had to make 'five quick phone calls' to break up with other women. The pair wed in November 2000.

Ms Zeta–Jones was in New York to promote her forthcoming Amazon Prime Video thriller series Kill Jackie.

She joked that her frock was 'an homage to C–3PO', the gold robot from Star Wars.
