Nawat Itsaragrisil covers Reina Filipinas Angelica Lopez’s plane fare to Bangkok

Miss Grand International Pres. Nawat Itsaragrisil is covering the expenses in purchasing the plane tickets of many of the delegates in this year’s competition, including Reina Filipinas Angelica Lopez from the Philippines.
With the international pageant’s sudden return to Thailand from India for the 2026 competition, all of the travel plans of the delegates and their respective national organizations have been jeopardized.
This year’s competition was originally slated for an Indian staging, with the delegates expected to arrive on Sept. 18. But earlier this month, the international organization announced that the 2026 pageant is moving back to Thailand because the Indian organizers had failed to meet the standards required of the competition.

Reina Filipinas Pres. Jojo Bragais had earlier posted on social media that he is bound to lose P300,000 from the more than P1 million that he had already spent for the supposed India trip.
He, however, made a separate social media post claiming that Nawat will take care of Lopez’s flight to Bangkok, as well as the other delegates who already had flights booked for India.
Bragais acquired the Miss Grand International franchise for the Philippines in June, with Nawat also joining the Reina Filipinas Organization as Executive Partner. This is the first time that the Filipino shoe designer is fielding the Philippines’ delegate to the Bangkok-based global tilt.

And to recover the losses that he had incurred because of the sudden changes in this year’s Miss Grand International pageant, Bragais is holding a “send-off sale” of pageant shoes and other items from his namesake label.
The send-off sale for Lopez’s Miss Grand International quest will be at the Jojo Bragais Flagship Store in Quezon City, and wil run from Sept. 15 to 16. The beauty queen’s “despedida” press conference will take place on the first day of the sale, at 4:30 P.M.
