Reacher Officially Toppled By Prime Video's New Action Thriller Series On Streaming

Reacher has some new competition on streaming, but that's no surprise. Buoyed by the success of Jack Ryan, one of Prime Video's earliest high-profile forays into action thrillers, the streamer has gone all in on adapting crime novels and infusing them with some high-octane moments and well-known actors.
Reacher, led by Alan Ritchson as Jack Reacher, is far and away the winning example. The adaptation of the Lee Child novels is currently filming season 5, has already been renewed for season 6, and has paved the way for the also-renewed spinoff Neagley. It continues to be Prime Video's biggest original, with each season performing maintaining the level of or performing better than the last. But it may just have a new challenger, thanks to Chris Pratt's long-awaited return.
The Terminal List Is Back In Action

The Terminal List is currently #3 on Prime Video, just edging out Reacher in the #4 spot. Both dramas lag behind the more recent series like Neagley and Carrie. The adaptation of Stephen King's classic novel, from creator Mike Flanagan, has been a consistent success since its early October debut. It has now been renewed for season 2, and it remains to be seen if The Terminal List's early success will be met with a full-fledged renewal of its own.
The Terminal List season 2 draws from Jack Carr's novels of the same name and sees the return of Pratt as James Reece. It focuses on Reece as he searches for a renewed sense of purpose after finishing his list. That opportunity arrives when the CIA closes in on him. And, in order to clear his name, he must “stop a resurgent terrorist group that has turned a former ally to their cause.” Across the eight episodes, the story moves around the world, from Moscow to Langley, while also uncovering a troubling connection to Reece’s own family history.
Will The Terminal List Come For Neagley Next?
According to FlixPatrol, The Terminal List entered Prime Video's overall Top 10 in 23 countries as of October 22 just a day after debuting. The series ranks first in Thailand and second in Australia, Norway, Singapore, and the United Kingdom. It also holds third place in the Philippines, Poland, and Switzerland, while ranking fifth in Brazil, South Africa, and Sweden.
When looking at the overall Top 10, though, its performance is more impressive. The Terminal List season 2 ranks among Prime Video's Top 10 TV shows in 43 countries as of October 22. In the United States, the series jumped from tenth to second place, while reaching third in Brazil, fourth in Canada, and ninth in Saudi Arabia. It also topped the charts in Singapore and Thailand, while placing fifth in the United Kingdom.
It's important to note that it is not unusual for high-profile shows to rank well so soon after debuting. That is generally what's expected. The Terminal List season 2 has good reviews and may dislodge both Carrie and Neagley at some time. The true test of its power will be whether it can stay on top.
The Terminal List season 2 is now on Prime Video.
