MANILA, Philippines – Retired Sandiganbayan Presiding Justice Amparo Cabotaje-Tang denies having any political affiliations during cross-examination in Vice President Sara Duterte’s impeachment trial on Monday, saying she had “never been political” in her life.
Defense counsel asked Tang if she was anti-Duterte and whether she was a supporter of former Vice President Leni Robredo, commonly referred to as “Kakampink.”

“No, I’m not,” Tang said when asked if she was anti-Duterte.
She also said she did not personally know Vice President Sara Duterte.
When asked if she was a “Kakampink,” Tang again denied any political association.
“No, I have never been political in my life; I’ve always been apolitical,” she said.
The defense had earlier presented an article alleging that Tang had been accused of favoritism. Tang said she was completely unaware of the article. /dp
