Patrick Mahomes, the Kansas City Chiefs’ star player has put his mind to winning the Super Bowl this season after a brutal run on the field in the last season. The popular quarterback has remained unbeatable in the last 3 matches as he eyes the Week 4 clash against the Las Vegas Raiders.

Patrick Mahomes’ investment in Kansas City Royals makes a funding for the city’s homelessness program

A few days ago, as per reports, Patrick Mahomes’ MLB team, the Kansas City Royals, has committed to a $5 million funding which will go to the city’s Housing Gateway Program.

The $5 million funding item is a key community contribution tied to the Kansas City Council's approval of the new $1.9 billion downtown stadium project at Crown Center. As part of a larger agreement requiring the Kansas City Royals to chip in a minimum of $55 million for local community benefits over their 30-year lease, the team dedicated multiple specific $5 million sums for community impacts. As per reports, the Kansas City Royals President Brooks Sherman weighed in on it at the Kansas City Council’s Finance Committee as he said, “Five-million-dollar contributions for the city’s Housing Gateway Program and its efforts to fund solutions to homelessness.”

He added, “We believe we selected meaningful projects and scopes to best put these funds to use on behalf of the city…”Josh Henges, chief impact officer of Homeless Solutions for Kansas City, added, “It’s gonna get easier. The more investors you have and the amount of investment they bring in to include the name of the Royals. To us what that signals, yes the money’s gonna do amazing things, it’s gonna bring in more investment. That’s what I see this five million dollars as…It shows that this innovation is something that’s catching people’s attention…”Though the funding has sparked a debate, the Kansas City Chiefs’ popular quarterback has kept himself away from it as he focuses on his career on the field.

Patrick Mahomes has remained closely associated with the Kansas City Royals as the valuation has skyrocketed
