New X-Men star still hasn't "read anything" from upcoming Marvel movie

Marvel's upcoming X-Men reboot was announced this summer, with a brand-new cast set to embody the beloved superhero team. But as the movie won't hit our screens until 2028, plot details have remained largely under wraps for now.
And it's not only fans who have been itching to learn more about the project. In fact, Christopher Abbott, who will play Charles Xavier (aka Professor X), is also being kept in the dark.

Speaking about the upcoming reboot, Abbott told Entertainment Tonight that he still hasn't seen a script, but is excited to get stuck in nonetheless.
"I haven't read anything yet. Nothing," he said. "I'm not even being coy. It's true, I haven't read anything.
"But I'm excited to work with Jake Schreier, I think he's a great director, and that cast is really good. I can't wait. I love X-Men."
The actor is taking over the role from Sir Patrick Stewart and James McAvoy, who played older and younger versions of the character, respectively. The reboot will see a host of young stars portraying the X-Men, though Wolverine may be missing from the action - at least for a while.

One character who has already made their MCU debut is Jean Grey (Sadie Sink), who appeared in Spider-Man: Brand New Day earlier this year. Joining Sink and Abbott are Samara Weaving as Emma Frost and Kit Connor as Cyclops, Inde Navarrette as Rogue and Maya Boyd as Storm.
So far, there's been no mention of Magneto, but Adam Driver will feature as the villainous Nathaniel Milbury, who also goes by the more appropriate name Mister Sinister.
X-Men is released in cinemas on 5 May 2028.
