Sources: Hoosiers' backfield at full strength as Martin returns

Translate

Indiana running back Khobie Martin, who suffered a broken forearm in the Hoosiers' season opener, is available and will play against Michigan on Saturday, sources told ESPN's Pete Thamel.

Martin, who had 505 rushing yards and six TDs in 2025, will rejoin Indiana's running back rotation alongside Turbo Richard and Lee Beebe Jr. The No. 6 Hoosiers lead the Big Ten with 1,401 rushing yards, averaging 200.1 per game.

Richard leads the conference with 643 rushing yards (6 TDs), while Beebe is third with 575 yards (4 TDs).

Meanwhile, quarterback Josh Hoover has no injury designation ahead of Saturday's game despite spending time in the injury tent during last week's loss to Ohio State.

Backup quarterback Grant Wilson, a seventh-year senior, is ready to go if Hoover can't get through the game, sources told ESPN.

Michigan freshman quarterback Tommy Carr will be making his first start after replacing Bryce Underwood, a source confirmed to ESPN.
