Bukidnon’s Valencia City gives Sara Duterte rousing welcome

VALENCIA CITY, Bukidnon — About 2,000 city government employees, local officials, and supporters gave Vice President Sara Duterte a roaring, phone-waving welcome as she arrived at past 2 p.m. here on Tuesday, greeted by chants of “Duterte!”, “Duterte!” at the city gymnasium.
Delegates from Malaybalay City, Don Carlos, and Pangantucan joined the local workforce to witness her arrival.
Duterte served as the keynote speaker for the 18th founding anniversary and general membership assembly of the Valencia City Government Employees Union (VCGEU).

During her address, Duterte expressed her deep gratitude to the people of Valencia and Bukidnon for the overwhelming votes she received during the 2022 national elections.
Valencia City Mayor Amie Galario delivered an emotional message of gratitude to the workforce, followed by a similar sentiment from City Vice Mayor Cecil Galario-Fernandez.
Duterte commended the VCGEU leadership and congratulated the officials for their 2026-2029 term, praising the union’s successful collective negotiations.
These benefits include a P2,500 monthly economic relief allowance, P30,000 in CAN (collective negotiation agreement) incentives, P100,000 coverage for retiring employees, lifetime mortuary coverage, and an upcoming food hub project for union members.
