Shakira Postpones Her Pyramids Concert for a Second Time

Translate

Shakira has again postponed her concert at the Pyramids of Giza, originally scheduled for 28 November, citing the “current circumstances in the region,” and moved the show to 2 April 2027.

“It truly breaks my heart that we have to wait a little longer to be together,” she wrote on her Instagram story.

The Colombian pop star, 49, announced the change on Saturday, 31 October, in the same Instagram Story for her fans.

“Performing in Egypt at the pyramids is one of my career dreams,” she wrote, adding that the decision was made with everyone’s safety and well-being as the highest priority. “Egypt, I am coming!” she told fans.

This is the second delay this year, as the show was originally set for 7 April and was moved to November after tensions from the Middle East conflict. The concert is part of her Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran world tour, her first major tour in seven years. It began in Rio de Janeiro in February 2025 and supports her album of the same name, released in 2024.

Shakira had announced the Egypt date in September in a video message to fans in the Arab world. She spoke Arabic in the video, which drew praise on social media. Fans who bought tickets have been advised to check with the ticketing platform TicketEgypt for details on whether tickets remain valid and what refund conditions apply.

In her message, Shakira thanked fans for their “patience” and “understanding” and promised the wait would be “worth it.”

“See you on April 2, in Cairo!” she wrote.
