Gone For Good (2002)
4.11 Stars
Brother is pitted against brother in Coben's propulsive thriller, Gone for Good, which sees Will Klein sucked into an investigation of his older brother, Ken. Eleven years ago, Ken was accused of murdering a young woman in their neighborhood whom Will was involved with, but then Ken disappeared, and he hasn't returned since. However, all these years later, Will discovers that Ken is still alive and has been keeping plenty of secrets.
One of Coben's best standalone books, Gone for Good forces Will and the reader to question how far he'll go to protect the brother he idolized and how much of the truth he can handle. Adapted for the screen by Netflix in 2021, Gone for Good easily lends itself to television with its many red herrings and unbelievable reveals. If readers think they've pieced together the truth throughout the book, it doesn't take long for Coben to throw another wrench in the story, changing everything.

Found (2014)
4.15 Stars
After the Myron Bolitar books exploded in popularity, it didn't take long for Coben to pen the iconic young adult spinoff series, Mickey Bolitar. Found is the third book in the Mickey Bolitar collection, and it strikes the perfect balance between the complex themes that take the reader seriously and the young adult tone that makes Found accessible to a wide variety of audiences. Though Coben typically works in the adult fiction space, he demonstrates his flexibility with Mickey Bolitar.
As the nephew of Myron, Mickey can't let the mysterious death of his father rest, knowing that there could be something bigger at play. While attempting to piece together what really happened to his dad, Mickey has to deal with the typical ups and downs of being in high school. However, the other students know that he's something of a sleuth, and Mickey can't turn his back on someone in need in Found.

Nobody’s Fool (2025)
4.17 Stars
Sami Kierce is an amazing protagonist whom Coben pushes to his limits in Nobody's Fool, a tense mystery that forces Sami to come to terms with the secrets of his past. The second installment in the Detective Roger 'Sami' Kierce series, Nobody's Fool turns the heat up on Sami when his college girlfriend, Anna, whom he believed to be dead, turns up alive. It would be the kind of mystery Sami couldn't turn away from, even if he wasn't involved.
Coben brilliantly unpacks Sami's psychology and brilliant investigative mind as he hunts down the truth behind Anna's supposed death and what happened all those years ago. It's a dark story, but Coben knows just how to lighten the mood at the perfect moment, keeping the reader on the edge of their seat until the book's final moments. Fans of Coben's Myron Bolitar will have no trouble falling in love with Sami in Nobody's Fool.

The Match (2022)
4.18 Stars
There have only been two books published in the Wilde series by Coben, but 2022's The Match makes it hard not to hope that the titular character, Wilde, will be back soon. A man with a traumatic past and a missing family, Wilde takes on his most difficult case yet in The Match, investigating who he really is. After learning the identity of his long-lost father and discovering that he's still alive, Wilde is thrown headfirst into an unbelievable conspiracy.
In The Match, Coben brings in some contemporary texture, as Wilde is targeted by a group of online doxxers who are more sinister and powerful than he could have imagined. As Wilde finds himself zeroing in on the truth of his family's background and the dangerous digital community, he discovers that he might be at risk as well. The Match is a pulse-pounding Coben thriller that we can't get enough of.

Home (2016)
4.20 Stars
It's no secret that the Myron Bolitar series is one of Coben's most popular and best-rated, and the twists and turns in Home make it easy to see why. Emotions run high throughout Home, a thriller that follows Myron as he untangles a case related to the kidnapping of two boys a decade ago. However, what seemed like an investigation long gone cold turns into a gripping thriller when one of the boys appears.
Myron hopes the first boy can lead him to the second, but it's been ten years since he was last seen, and a lot has happened in that time. Though Home tackles a serious case, Coben makes sure that the characteristic humor and heart that make readers love Myron are apparent throughout the book. One of the best installments of the Myron Bolitar series, Home proves that Coben has only gotten to know his characters better with time.

Think Twice (2024)
4.22 Stars
The 12th installment of the Myron Bolitar collection, Think Twice, currently has a Goodreads rating of 4.22 stars, and this is no small feat. Published in 2024, Coben writes one of his best cases of Myron so far, seeing him investigate the supposed death of one of the sport agent's former clients. Coben wastes no time in assembling Myron's classic team, with Windsor Horne Lockwood III, Big Cyndi, Esperanza, and more familiar faces populating the novel.
After being informed by federal agents that Greg Downing, a rival, friend, and client whom Myron buried years ago, is still alive and connected to a series of high-profile murders, Myron can't help getting involved. Harlan Coben is at his best in Think Twice, thoroughly justifying the latest addition to the Myron Bolitar series and making readers hungry for more.
