ITALY
MADUKA OKOYE (UDINESE)
Okoye made eight saves but still finished on the losing side as Udinese were beaten 3–0 by Lecce in Serie A.
Kialonda Gaspar headed Lecce ahead in the 11th minute, Konan N’Dri doubled the lead in the 33rd and Jamil Siebert added a third in the 86th. It was Udinese’s fifth successive league defeat.
The goalkeeper kept his place a week after his error led to Torino’s winning goal. He denied N’Dri and Kaba and made a crucial one-on-one stop against Geubbels. The 27-year-old’s display earned a FotMob rating of 7.0, the highest in the Udinese team.
SAMUEL CHUKWUEZE (AC MILAN)
Chukwueze started for Milan in their 3–2 win over Atalanta at the San Siro, but he was substituted in the 53rd minute.
Gonçalo Ramos scored from the penalty spot in the 24th minute, Adrien Rabiot doubled the lead two minutes before the break, and Mario Gila headed in a third in the 58th. Atalanta pulled two back through Gianluca Gaetano and Nikola Krstovic before Milan held on.
Chukwueze was involved in the build-up to Ramos’s disallowed effort in the first half. He also bent a finish just wide from inside the area.

FRANCE
TOCHUKWU NNADI (MARSEILLE)
Nnadi made his first start of the season and set up Amine Harit’s goal in Marseille’s 5–2 win over Angers in Ligue 1.
He won the ball in midfield and threaded a through-ball to Harit, who curled in the fourth goal in the 83rd minute. It was Nnadi’s first assist of the campaign and his first since April.
The midfielder was also booked in the 74th minute for fouling Carlens Arcus in the box, and Amine El Ouazzani converted the penalty.
JOSH MAJA (LE HAVRE)
Maja came on in the 62nd minute as Le Havre lost 3–1 at home to Auxerre in Ligue 1.
Cameroon forward Danny Namaso scored twice for Auxerre, and the result left Le Havre rooted to the foot of the table. The Nigerian forward joined the club as a free agent in August after leaving West Bromwich Albion.
MOSES SIMON (PARIS FC)
Simon came on in the 79th minute in Paris FC’s dramatic 4-3 win over Rennes, which was settled by a stoppage-time penalty.
Maxime Lopez scored twice for the hosts, in the 14th minute and just before half-time, while Rennes’ Esteban Lepaul replied with a hat-trick of penalties. Lassine Sinayoko put Paris FC back in front with a bicycle kick in the 76th minute, and he won and converted the penalty in the 97th minute after a VAR review, handing Paris FC a first win over Rennes in 46 years.
NETHERLANDS
TOLU AROKODARE (AJAX)
Arokodare came on in the 75th minute in Ajax’s Eredivisie game away to Groningen. He was left out of the starting line-up after starting the midweek Conference League defeat to Hajduk Split, with head coach Míchel Sánchez pointing to his heavy match load.
Julian Brandt and Jorthy Mokio scored twice each, with Aaron Bouwman also on target. Arokodare helped create Mokio’s second goal, releasing Davy Klaassen, who crossed for the finish.
The 25-year-old, on loan from Wolverhampton Wanderers, had scored seven goals for Ajax before the game, four in the Eredivisie and three in the Conference League.

ENGLAND
CHIAMAKA NNADOZIE (BRIGHTON WOMEN)
Nnadozie conceded three as Brighton lost 3–2 away to Manchester City in the Women’s Super League.
Khadija Shaw scored twice inside 16 minutes, and Niamh Charles made it 3–0 in the 17th. Brighton hit back before the break through Olivia Garcia and Caitlin Hayes.
The Nigerian goalkeeper made further saves as Brighton sought an equaliser, but City held on to maintain their perfect start to the league season.
GERMANY
TELLA, BONIFACE (BAYER LEVERKUSEN)
Tella featured as Bayer Leverkusen came from behind to beat Freiburg 2-1, while Boniface was an unused substitute again.
Derry Scherhant put the visitors ahead in the 14th minute, but Ibrahim Maza levelled five minutes later. Patrik Schick, set up by Maza, scored the winner in the 76th minute. Leverkusen had five shots on target from 12 attempts, to Freiburg’s two from 11.
SATURDAY
ENGLAND
IWOBI, BASSEY VS AJAYI (FULHAM/HULL CITY)
Iwobi scored the only goal as Fulham beat Hull City 1-0 at Craven Cottage to claim their first win of the season and Álvaro Arbeloa’s first as manager.
After Hull twice failed to clear their lines, Sander Berge slid the ball to Iwobi on the edge of the box in the 33rd minute. His low shot took a deflection off Lucas Herrington and went under goalkeeper Konstantinos Tzolakis. It was Iwobi’s first Premier League goal of the season, and it took him to 36 in 327 appearances, level with Peter Odemwingie in joint-sixth on the list of Nigeria’s Premier League scorers.
Bassey captained Fulham and played the full game, while Semi Ajayi went the distance for Hull in defence. Fulham ended with 10 men after Ryan Sessegnon was sent off in added time.
The result ended a six-game winless run for Fulham under Arbeloa, who took over from Marco Silva in July.
SPAIN
ADEMOLA LOOKMAN (ATLÉTICO MADRID)
Lookman was substituted at half-time for the second league game running as Atlético won 1-0 at Espanyol.
- Iwobi among most underrated players – Sherwood
- Ajibade shares update after successful surgery
- Iwobi matches Osaze’s record in Abeloa’s first win
The Super Eagles forward started alongside Jonathan David and managed one shot, which was off target, in a quiet first half before Julián Álvarez replaced him. Álvarez then set up Álex Baena for the 89th-minute winner. Lookman has two goal involvements in 11 appearances for Atlético this season.

ITALY
AKOR ADAMS (VENEZIA)
Adams ended a four-game scoring drought with the only goal as Venezia beat Napoli 1-0 for their first win of the season.
The victory came in Davide Nicola’s first match in charge after the dismissal of Giovanni Stroppa. Adams had tested goalkeeper Alex Meret in the first half. Four minutes into the second half, Simon Sohm’s long ball released him, and he shrugged off Amir Rrahmani before his shot took a deflection and beat Meret in the 49th minute. Kevin De Bruyne then had a penalty saved by Filip Stankovic, who made nine saves.
The 26-year-old, who joined from Sevilla in the summer, now has four goals in nine appearances across all competitions.
TURKEY
VICTOR OSIMHEN (GALATASARAY)
Osimhen was kept quiet as Galatasaray scraped a 1-0 win at Gençlerbirliği, decided by a late own goal from the home goalkeeper.
He played the full 90 minutes and had seven shots, the most in the game, but only two were on target. He also had 10 touches inside the opposition box, and he was denied repeatedly by Irfan Can Egribayat. The goalkeeper, however, turned Deniz Gül’s pressure into his own net in the 88th minute. Osimhen was booked for celebrating the winner too exuberantly.
The 27-year-old’s run of scoring or assisting in each of his previous 18 league games for Galatasaray ended. Over that spell he scored 18 goals and set up eight.

ORBAN VS AWAZIEM (AMEDSPOR/KONYASPOR)
Gift Orban faced compatriot Chidozie Awaziem as Amedspor beat Konyaspor 1–0.
Mbaye Diagne headed the winner in the 86th minute from a Dia Saba assist. Orban, who was loaned to Amedspor from Hoffenheim in July, failed to add to his tally of seven league goals in seven games.
Fellow Nigerian winger Yira Sor, who has returned to training after about six weeks out, was not involved.
BELGIUM
RAFIU DUROSINMI (GENK)
Durosinmi scored in Genk’s 2–0 Belgian Cup win over Virton to take his tally to seven goals this season.
Daan Heymans opened the scoring, and Durosinmi doubled the lead in the 28th minute by sliding the ball between the goalkeeper’s legs after a through ball from Junya Ito.
Genk coach Jess Thorup praised his side’s first half, saying they won their duels and executed the plan well, and highlighted the strength of his two centre-forwards.
The 23-year-old joined from Pisa in July. Genk host Standard Liège in the league on October 25.
GERMANY
MOFFI (HAMBURGER SV)
Moffi came on in the 77th minute as Hamburg beat Stuttgart 1-0, a week after scoring his first Bundesliga goal.
The striker replaced Fábio Vieira in a flurry of late changes. Miro Muheim then struck from 25 metres in the 88th minute, from a pass by Zakaria El Ouahdi, after a goalless first 87 minutes. It was Muheim’s second successive late winner, and Hamburg’s third consecutive Bundesliga victory, their first such run since the 2010/11 season.
Moffi, 27, joined from Nice this summer and had missed pre-season through fitness problems.
SCOTLAND
EMMANUEL FERNANDEZ (RANGERS)
Fernandez was involved in the build-up to Dundee’s opener as Rangers were held 2-2 at Dens Park.
Bradley Fink scored in the 37th minute after a long ball caught Fernandez and Dujon Sterling out, with neither taking responsibility. Pundit Kris Boyd criticised both defenders on Sky Sports.
Rangers, who were looking for an eighth straight win in all competitions, came from behind through Bouanani in the 42nd minute and Nicolas Raskin in the 60th, but Dundee levelled through Jones in the 69th.
The defender made 13 clearances in the game, but the draw did little to settle Rangers’ backline.
AZERBAIJAN
NWACHUKWU (SABAH)
Nwachukwu was part of the Sabah squad that won 4-0 at Gabala in the Azerbaijan Premier League.
Abdulakh Khaybulayev scored in first-half stoppage time, Aleksey Isayev added two goals either side of one from Joy-Lance Mickels, and Sabah cruised to victory.
The 20-year-old winger joined from Sheffield United in August. He also featured in Sabah’s first Champions League win, a 2-0 victory over Slavia Prague in Baku.
AUSTRIA
SAMUEL ADENIRAN (LASK)
