Abia urges youths to join Navy recruitment

UMUAHIA — The Abia State Government has urged qualified youths across the 17 Local Government Areas of the state to take advantage of the Nigerian Navy Basic Training School Batch 39 recruitment exercise.

The government, in a public service announcement, said online registration for the 2026 recruitment exercise would commence on October 2 and close on October 31, 2026.

It urged interested applicants to register free of charge through the official Nigerian Navy recruitment portal and strictly adhere to the guidelines and instructions provided on the platform.

According to the announcement, the recruitment examination is scheduled for November 21, 2026, at designated centres nationwide.

The state government warned prospective applicants against falling victim to fraudsters, stressing that the recruitment process was completely free.

It advised applicants to reject any demand for payment from individuals or groups claiming to have the capacity to facilitate their enlistment.

The government described the exercise as an opportunity for eligible Abia youths to pursue careers in the Nigerian Navy while contributing to national service.
