Translate

Several promotions and transfers involving senior police officers nationwide will take place this month, including the appointment of new state police chiefs for Pahang, Sabah and Sarawak.

In a statement, police secretary Mashdik Yahya said Bukit Aman Special Branch II deputy director Shaharul Osman would assume the post of Pahang police chief, Bernama reported.

Meanwhile, Eastern Sabah Security Command (Esscom) commander Victor Sanjos, from the home ministry, will take over the post of Sabah police commissioner from Nov 11, following the retirement of Jauteh Dikun.

Mashdik said Sabah internal security and public order department chief Abdul Fuad Abdul Malek will take over as Esscom commander the same day.

“Sarawak deputy police commissioner Saifullizan Ishak has been promoted to the post of Sarawak police commissioner.

“Pahang criminal investigation department (CID) chief Yusri Othman will be the new Penang deputy police chief from Nov 19,” he said, adding that Penang CID chief Zailanni Amit will be transferred to Sarawak as the new deputy police commissioner.

Other movements include Kedah CID deputy chief Zailani Yusoff taking over as Penang CID chief; Kuala Lumpur traffic investigation and enforcement department chief Zamzuri Isa moving to Bukit Aman as assistant director of the general policing division; and the general operations force’s (GOF) central brigade deputy commander Awang Arfian Awang Bujang’s promotion to the post of commander.
