PKR reshuffles Sarawak leadership ahead of 13th state election

Translate

KUALA LUMPUR: PKR has appointed Sarawak State Leadership Council secretary Mahmud Epah as its new state chairman to prepare for the 13th Sarawak election.

PKR secretary-general Datuk Dr Fuziah Salleh said the decision was finalised during a Sarawak PKR Branch Leadership meeting chaired by party president Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim yesterday.

She said the restructuring effort aims to strengthen the party's machinery ahead of the upcoming state election.

"The meeting emphasised that the primary focus is on election strategy and ground operations as part of comprehensive preparations," she said in a statement today.

Fuziah added that former Sarawak State Leadership Council chairman Ahmad Nazib Johari has been reassigned to a new role at the federal level.

"Ahmad Nazib will continue to strengthen relations between the Federal leadership and Sabah and Sarawak, aligning with the party's focus on reinforcing political networks across both regions," she said.
