Brian Poe, Margarita Gutierrez share blessings before wedding day

MANILA, Philippines — Days before their wedding, FPJ Panday Bayanihan Party-List Rep. Brian Poe and Justice Undersecretary Margarita Gutierrez chose to celebrate by conducting a gift-giving activity to show their love and gratitude to communities and sectors close to their hearts.

On Aug. 28, 2026, Poe and Gutierrez held the activity at the Arenas Complex in San Carlos City, Pangasinan, reaching a total of 300 beneficiaries from the agriculture, transportation, and fishing sectors.

The activity gave assistance to 100 farmers from San Carlos City, 100 representatives of a tricycle operators and drivers’ association and other transport groups from the city, and 100 fisherfolk from Dagupan City.

The couple chose to make their wedding season an opportunity to extend kindness to people who play important roles in their communities and livelihoods.

“As we prepare for our wedding, we wanted to share the love and happiness we feel with the people who have always been part of our advocacy. This is our simple way of saying thank you and celebrating with them,” Poe said.

Among those who attended the gift-giving activity were Lauro C. Melendez, San Carlos City Agriculture and Fishery Council chairman; Manny Sanchez, San Carlos City TODA president; and Roger Yruma Victorio, president of the Fisherfolks Association of Dagupan City.

The gathering highlighted the important contributions of farmers, transport workers, and fisherfolk, whose daily work helps sustain local communities and the broader economy.
