KATSEYE, Phoebe Bridgers, Ella Langley & More: Highlights of This Week’s Billboard Charts

Tuesday is new Billboard chart day each week! As all charts update each Tuesday morning, here’s a look at highlights of the latest rankings, dated Aug. 29 and reflecting the Aug. 14-20 measurement week, according to data tracker Luminate.

Among this week’s chart stars are KATSEYE, Phoebe Bridgers, Ella Langley, Taylor Swift and Karol G.

KATSEYE earns its first No. 1 on the Billboard 200 as WILD debuts with 170,000 equivalent album units in the United States in its first week, ending Aug. 20, according to Luminate.

“EYEKONS, this is so surreal!!,” the group posted in celebration. “Thank you for showing WILD so much love.”

KATSEYE also tops the Billboard Artist 100 for the first time, vaulting from No. 28 and passing its prior No. 6 peak.

Plus, the group debuts at No. 31 on the Billboard Hot 100 with the EP’s latest single, “Hootie Frutti.” The act adds its sixth top 40 hit on the chart, all earned consecutively and all of which have peaked this year. The song joins “Gabriella” (No. 21), “Internet Girl” (No. 29, both in January), “Pinky Up” (No. 28, April), star team-up “Iconic by Mistake,” with LE SSERAFIM and ILLIT (No. 38, June), and “Animal” (No. 24, earlier in August).

• Phoebe Bridgers

  

  Lost Weekend launches as Bridgers’ first solo Billboard 200 top 10, at No. 2 (also marking the highest rank on the chart to date for label Dead Oceans). The set concurrently starts at No. 1 on Independent Albums, Vinyl Albums, Top Rock & Alternative Albums and Americana/Folk Albums.

• Ella Langley

  Langley’s “Choosin’ Texas” achieves a 19th week atop the Hot 100 — tying for the longest No. 1 run ever atop the chart among non-holiday songs. The smash first led in February and has already set multiple chart records.

  Browse every hit that has reigned for 10 or more weeks here, with “Choosin’ Texas” now just a week away from potentially becoming only the second song to reign for 20 or more weeks.

• Karol G

  

  “BbY WOW,” with Judeline and rusowsky, hits No. 1 on Hot Latin Songs. It’s Karol G’s 11th leader and dethrones her “Ahi,” with Drake. Both songs are from her new album, No Me Arrepiento de Sentir Tanto, which leads Top Latin Albums for a second week.

• Shakira X Burna Boy

  Soccer’s signature tournament ended more than a month ago, on July 19, but Shakira and Burna Boy’s “Dai Dai (FIFA World Cup Official Song 2026)” continues as the biggest song in the world, topping the Billboard Global 200 for a fifth week and the Billboard Global Excl. U.S. chart for an eighth frame.

• Taylor Swift

  “I Knew It, I Knew You” becomes Swift’s ninth career No. 1 on the all-format Radio Songs chart.

• Olivia Rodrigo

  

  “Drop Dead” marks Rodrigo’s third Pop Airplay No. 1, following “Drivers License,” which reigned for five weeks beginning in March 2021, and “Good 4 U,” a No. 1 for six weeks starting that July.

  (“Drop Dead” also brings The Cure’s “Just Like Heaven” to the top of the list, via its shout-out in the song. The band’s classic reached No. 40 on the Hot 100 in 1988.)

• Dave & Tems

  “Raindance” hits No. 1 on Mainstream R&B/Hip-Hop Airplay, as Dave leads for the first time and Tems, for a fifth.

• HUGEL, Imael Angel & Ultra Naté

  From rain to sun: “Movin’ to the Sun” shines at No. 1 on Dance Airplay, where it’s their respective second, first and first leader. The song also ascends to the Global Excl U.S. top 10

• Jay Wheeler

  Wheeler tallies his fourth No. 1 on the Latin Airplay chart with “De Lejitos.”

• Banda El Recodo de Cruz Lizarraga

  The group ups its career count to  21 No. 1s on Regional Mexican Airplay with “La Cama de Piedra.” The band now boasts seven leaders in the ‘20s, the most that it has earned in any decade, following two in the 1990s and six each in the 2000s and ‘10s.
