Following a concerning string of disappointing results for Shooting Stars Sports Club (3SC), the Oyo Pillar of Sports, Tope Obideyi, has appealed to the club’s passionate fan base to remain calm, patient, and steadfast in their backing of the historic Oluyole Warriors.

Acknowledging the deep emotional investment of the fans, Obideyi noted that every defeat carries weight for a club with such a rich legacy in Oyo State.

“For a club with such a rich history and an emotional connection with the people of Oyo State, every defeat comes with pain. The current run of poor results is certainly not what the players, management, or supporters expected, and the disappointment of the fans is completely understandable. However, this is the moment when true supporters are needed the most,” Obideyi said.

The former player conceded that performances have dipped below expectations, stating that the team must collectively identify problems, correct mistakes, and restore confidence. Nevertheless, he urged supporters not to lose faith.

“Football is a game of uncertainties. A team can struggle for a period, lose confidence, and find itself on the wrong side of results. Yet, football has also shown repeatedly that fortunes can change very quickly when determination, unity, and hard work come together,” he noted.

Issuing a direct plea to the fans, Obideyi added: “Please don’t give up on the Oluyole Warriors. Don’t abandon the team because of a difficult spell. Don’t allow temporary disappointment to erase the glorious history and memories that 3SC has given its supporters over the years.”

Highlighting the need for collective backing across the board, from the technical crew and management to the players themselves, he delivered a sharp message to the squad regarding the weight of wearing the famous jersey.

“The players need encouragement. The technical crew needs constructive support. The management needs the cooperation of the supporters. And above all, the club needs everyone to remain united at this difficult period… Wearing the 3SC shirt is a responsibility. Every time you step onto the pitch, remember the thousands of supporters who identify with the club, the history behind the badge, and the pride of representing Ibadan and Oyo State. Fight for every ball. Fight for every point. Fight for the badge.”

Insisting that the current slump is not the final chapter of the season, Obideyi encouraged fans to continue demanding commitment while standing firmly behind the team.

“Better results will come. The Oluyole Warriors have stumbled, but they have not fallen,” he concluded. “Let us remain calm. Let us remain united. Let us keep believing. The Oluyole Warriors will bounce back. Up Shooting Stars!”
