Coronation Street's Brody sparks total chaos between Idris and Ronnie

Translate

Coronation Street's Brody Michaelis has dished some precious information about Ronnie Bailey's plan against Idris Nazir, causing a rift between the two men as Debbie Webster caught her husband in a lie.

Tonight's episode kicked off with Ronnie and Carl Webster keeping quiet with Debbie about having stolen Idris's car. Ronnie has been eager to get Fiona Morley off his back after she demanded a repayment for her missing gun.

At Speed Dahl, a clueless Idris was on the phone with his car insurance to report the vehicle stolen when he received a text from Fiona, reading: "Now we're even for the poker night."

An angered Idris snapped at Brody — but the teenager insisted his boss would want to hear what he had to say.

After Brody informed Idris that he'd seen Ronnie handing over the car keys to Fiona, the new Speed Dahl owner was seeking revenge.

He went to see Ronnie feigning he had a "business proposition" for him and snuck his way into his house to attack him. "I know you nicked my car," Idris told Ronnie.

Carl rushed downstairs and insisted Ronnie had been with him all day. But Idris wouldn't have it.

The scuffle led to Ronnie having to lie to a concerned Debbie once again as he pretended he'd bumped "into something".

"He caught me off guard. I'm gonna get him back," Ronnie told Carl later on.

Carl insisted that Ronnie shouldn't fuel the feud with Idris not to upset Debbie. The duo couldn't anticipate that Leanne Battersby would tell all to Debbie, as she revealed that Ronnie had stolen her boyfriend's car.

Debbie didn't believe Leanne at first, but put two and two together when she remembered she couldn't get hold of Ronnie the previous day.

She confronted her husband, telling him she knew of his beef with Idris and the stolen car. "Don't even think about lying to me," Debbie hissed.

Ronnie told his wife about the rigged poker night and how he had to find a way to repay Fiona for the gun, though he had no idea that it was actually Jodie who'd taken it. "It's over now. We're even," Ronnie promised Debbie, who got upset about her husband's naïveté.

"It's never over with these kind of people," she told him, asking him not to lie to her again.

In the final scenes, Idris slipped Brody a £50 note for his intel on Ronnie. Spotting Idris after buying Debbie some flowers, Ronnie made it clear their disagreement was far from over.

"The only reason you're still breathing is 'cause my wife is not well," Ronnie told Idris, who replied: "Another time, then, eh?"

"You can count on it," Ronnie finally said.

Coronation Street airs on weeknights at 8.30pm on ITV1 and streams on ITVX.
