Evelyn Joshua urges Christians to spread love

The Leader of The Synagogue, Church of All Nations, Pastor Evelyn Joshua, has urged Christians to spread love, hope, light and forgiveness amid growing conflict and division across the world.

According to a statement made available to our correspondent on Saturday, Joshua made the call on Friday during the opening day of the SCOAN Crusade in São Paulo, Brazil, where she preached a sermon titled, “Jesus Conquered All.”

Addressing a congregation that included pastors from different churches, Joshua urged Christians to move beyond professing their faith and demonstrate it through their actions.

She said, “Many claim to know and love God, but they deny Him in action. You are meant to be a channel of love, light, and forgiveness.

“Jesus Christ went about doing good, from one place to another.  Believers are expected to take the message of salvation to the world and ensure that their faith was reflected in their treatment of others.”

While she noted that Jesus Christ must remain the foundation of every believer’s life, she further declared that no other foundation can be laid than that which has been laid by Jesus Christ.

Evelyn also recalled the desire of the late founder of SCOAN, Prophet T.B. Joshua, to visit Brazil, saying the timing of the crusade showed that it was God’s time.

“It was the desire of the man of God, Prophet T.B. Joshua, to visit this country. But God’s time is the best and that time is now,” she said.

Addressing people facing illness, poverty, and sin, she urged Christians to direct them to what she described as the promises of God.

“A sick person must be convinced by the Promises of God because God said, ‘I will heal you.’ A poor person must be convinced that God promised to bless him. A sinner must be convinced that Jesus died for him,” she said.

She further urged the congregation to have faith in God, stressing that “with God Almighty, all things are possible.”

Evelyn also said the age of miracles had not passed, declaring that Jesus still had the power to transform lives.

“I am here today in the name of Jesus with the wind of blessings, breakthrough, favour, healing, deliverance,” she said, declaring that the people would receive the “wind of glory.”

The sermon was followed by a prayer session during which Evelyn moved among members of the congregation and laid hands on people seeking healing.

Those who received prayers included people suffering from body pain, heart failure, colon cancer, enlarged prostate, difficulty in walking, severe lower back pain and intestinal cancer.

The testimonies came at the end of the first day of the crusade, which centred on faith in Jesus Christ and the call for Christians to reflect their faith through their actions.
