KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 6 — Regent of Johor Tunku Mahkota Ismail granted an audience to Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) chief commissioner Datuk Seri Abd Halim Aman at Istana Pasir Pelangi yesterday.

According to a statement posted on His Royal Highness’ official Facebook page, the new Johor MACC director Datuk Hazrul Shazreen Abd Yazid, whose appointment took effect on October 1, was also present during the audience.

“During the meeting, the MACC leadership conveyed the agency’s continued commitment to strengthening anti-corruption enforcement and prevention, as well as integrity and governance in the state.

“The meeting reflects the continuing working relationship between the MACC and the Johor Royal Institution in supporting the agenda of integrity and good governance,” the statement said. — Bernama
