Stephen Curry has now weighed in on Anthony Edwards' knee injury. Curry knows the territory well, since ankle trouble followed him around for years early in his career. So when the Golden State Warriors beat the Minnesota Timberwolves, a reporter used the postgame press conference to ask whether he had anything to pass along to Edwards. Curry's answer was warm and simple: he wants to see the young star healthy and back on the floor soon. Edwards is expected to be out for about two months of the 2026-2027 season.

Stephen Curry Gives Valuable Advice On Anthony Edwards' Medical Situation

The question came from the media room. “You have had a very healthy career in general. But I know you were plagued with some ankle injuries like early in your career. How did you get past that and what kind of advice would you give to someone like Anthony Edwards, who is going in for his first knee surgery and have you gotten to talk to him at all?”

Curry said he had already reached out. “I texted him earlier, my Olympic teammate, and we want to see him healthy. I know he's gone through some stuff with the knee, but you just gotta have to do what you can with the rehab.” He kept going from there. “Attack it the same way you do getting ready for games. Get your body as bulletproof as possible.”

He also made the point that injuries come with the job, and that nobody in the league is immune. “Knowing that stuff, stuff had injuries happen. Keep your spirit right. For him, it's a long year, and I know two months or whatever the prognosis was, but he'll be back in no time, and hopefully he can pick up where he left off because he was playing at such a high level. So you want to see everybody healthy if you can.”

When Will Anthony Edwards Be Back?

Per reports, Edwards will sit out roughly the next two months. He is set to have an arthroscopic procedure on his right knee, and that timeline keeps him off the court for the stretch. There is a side effect, too. Missing that much time likely leaves him short of the 65 games a player needs to play to be eligible for All-NBA honors, which puts a dent in what had been a strong start to his season.
