BTS‘ V gives ARMY an up-close-and-personal view of life inside the K-pop supergroup’s bubble in his new 3 Days in LA vlog. The 21-minute selfie-camera mini-documentary opens with the 30-year-old singer making sure he knows how to use the settings on his phone’s camera before he heads out to a family dinner with the rest of the group and their crew.

After a back-and-forth about the relative merits of digital versus film cameras, more adjustment of his angles and some plate sharing at the gourmet restaurant, V heads back to the group’s massive rented L.A. mansion. Fans get a glimpse of the expansive outside seating area, complete with a giant fountain and classical columned railings, before he tucks into his Spanish language lessons under the L.A. moon.

“I’ll try my best to be able to talk to you all,” he says in halting Spanish, in what seemed like a bit of practice before the group winds down the Latin American portion of their ARIRANG world tour with a pair of upcoming live viewings from their shows in Argentina and Brazil on, respectively, Oct. 25 and Oct. 30. “I feel happy that I can understand more and more,” he adds in Spanish as gentle piano jazz accompaniment tinkles in the background.

He then plays a snippet of what he says is his favorite Latin song, “Sabor a Mí,” which has been recorded by everyone from Luis Miguel to EXO and Los Lobos.

Next up is a house tour, from the cavernous, all-white living room to a glimpse of the ornate indoor pool, with V lamenting that the place is so huge he sometimes gets lost. The singer then wishes viewers good night (in Spanish, of course), before stripping off his shirt and going to bed.

After a hearty breakfast and a stroll through the game room for early morning table tennis and billiards, it’s time to head to SoFi Stadium for soundcheck, where the rest of the group — RM, Suga, Jin, j-hope, Jimin and Jung Kook — do check-ins on camera before strolling onto the stage for their Sept. 5 gig at the L.A. venue. They are greeted by shouts of the lucky ARMY members on hand to witness the warm-up, as the men take their turns on the mic before heading to the green room to chill.

V effortlessly sets up the camera to catch the group enjoying some pre-show sashimi, with jokes about how Jin caught the fish himself. After changing into his stage costume, V brushes his teeth and catches RM doing elaborate frog-pose stretches to limber up for the high-energy performance. Then it’s on to the obligatory group selfie just before walking out for the sold-out show.

The journey ends back at the house, where the men wind down and try to get some quiet time and do self-care ahead of their Sept. 6 SoFi gig. The vlog ends with a surprise early birthday celebration for RM and a bit of shooting around on an indoor basketball court.

BTS will take the stage on Friday (Oct. 16) for the second of three gigs at Estadio Nacional Julio Martínez Prádanos in Santiago, Chile, ahead of the first of three gigs in Argentina.
