Before Stardom With…Mabayoje Ayodele (Arambadatwin)
The inspiration comes from God and our desire to lead people into God’s presence through worship. Music has always been a gift God placed in me and my twin brother as a tool for ministry and soul-winning.
What challenges did you face when you started?
Like every minister, we have faced challenges such as limited resources, criticism, and spiritual battles. However, God’s grace has sustained us through every season.
How would you describe the music that you typically create?
It’s pure gospel. Nothing should be attached to it.
Do you think stardom has changed you and your twin brother?
Yes, to some extent. Stardom comes with responsibilities and sacrifices. It has reduced our privacy because many people recognise us wherever we go. It also demands a lot of time, which sometimes limits the time we could spend with family and friends. However, we see all these sacrifices as part of the calling. The opportunity to serve God, impact lives, and spread the gospel through music is far greater than what we may have given up. We remain grateful to God for the privilege of being a blessing to others.
Are you still friends with those who were with you before stardom?
Yes, we still value the people who stood by us before any recognition came. True friendship is not based on fame or success but on genuine love, loyalty, and mutual respect.
How do you handle advances from female fans?
We handle them with wisdom, respect, and clear boundaries. We appreciate the love and support of our fans, but we always remember our calling as gospel ministers, which requires integrity and godly conduct. Our focus remains on serving God, maintaining a good testimony, and honouring the principles of our faith.
What project are you currently working on?
We are working on the video for Iranlowo (Help). We pray for God’s grace to complete it. It’s coming out soon.
