Matthew “MatPat” Patrick Adapting ‘Amanda the Adventurer’ Video Game For Blumhouse

Blumhouse is diving into another horror video game, announcing an Amanda the Adventurer adaptation.
On Friday, Jason Blum announced BlumFest moderator Matthew “MatPat” Patrick is developing a feature adaptation of the 2023 indie puzzle game from DreadXP, whose parent company Epic Pictures’ CEO Patrick Ewald will serve as producer.
In games, Riley Park unravels a sinister mystery around the fictional children’s television show Amanda the Adventurer after discovering a mysterious video tape in their late aunt Kate’s attic.
Founder and former host of the “Theory” channels on YouTube, Patrick also produced the YouTube Premium series Game Lab and Creators in Fashion. Additionally, he appeared as waiter Ness in Blumhouse’s Five Nights at Freddy’s (2023), returning for last year’s sequel to voice Toy Bonnie.
Blumhouse’s latest indie horror video game adaptation comes after the FNAF franchise exceeded $520M globally, with a potential trilogy-concluding installment in store.
