Young James Bond adaptation unveils first look and behind-the-scenes video as production begins

Production has officially begun on the Young Bond audio drama, SilverFin, with a first-look image of the cast and a behind-the-scenes video being unveiled.
In the video, James Bond star Isaac Rouse can be seen revealing the Bond theme songs he's been listening to to get him in the zone, while the producers speak about casting Rouse, and Charlotte McBurney talks about playing "the original Bond girl," Wilder Lawless.
SilverFin, based on the novel by Charlie Higson, will be made up of 16 half-hour episodes, which will be released in October 2026 as two box sets, available from www.bigfinish.com and www.ianflemingshop.com. Each box set can now be pre-ordered for just £24.99 (download to own) or £35.99 (download to own + collector’s edition CD).
Speaking about the first day working on the project, writer and director Barnaby Edwards said: "The first day on any directing job can be a nerve-racking occasion, which is why I prepare as much as possible in advance. The only variable I couldn’t pre-determine was whether the chemistry in the room would work.
"Thankfully, I needn’t have worried. In addition to being a wonderful actor, Isaac is a splendid leading man. He clicked instantly with all his fellow actors, made them feel at ease and gave them something exciting to play against."

Edwards continued: "Charlotte didn’t join us until Day Three of recording, as Wilder doesn’t appear until later in the story. But that day was one of the happiest of the whole recording period. It was just Bond, Wilder, Red Kelly and George Hellebore – and it was an exhilarating experience watching these four superb young actors sparking off each other. A truly magical experience."
Last month, a host of supporting cast members were announced for the audio drama, including Tim McInnerny (Blackadder), Miranda Raison (Spooks), William Hope (Sherlock Holmes), Paterson Joseph (Peep Show), Lucy Bond, Timothy Bentinck (The Archers) and Penelope Rawlins.

Big Finish's SilverFin will be released in October 2026.
