The concept initially began through animated shorts in 1992, and a 1995 short, The Spirit of Christmas, became a viral hit. Due to the success, Comedy Central hired Parker and Stone to create the flagship series. Now, the animated comedy series has become a huge success worldwide and even expanded with an Oscar-nominated movie and acclaimed video games.
After a shocking rebranding by changing the show's name from South Park to South America, the first teaser for season 29 has been revealed. The first episode of South America season 29 has an official description and states: "When e-bikes arrive in South America, the boys take over the streets, and the parents of South America can hardly recognize South America, in an all-new episode titled "South American Biker Gangs" premiering Wednesday, September 16 at 10pm on Comedy Central."
