Portuguese full-back Nuno Mendes will miss Paris Saint-Germain’s UEFA Champions League 2026-27 match against Barcelona on Tuesday, October 20.

The 23-year-old is set to miss the marquee clash with a tear in his left thigh sustained during PSG’s Ligue 1 clash against Strasbourg that is expected to keep him on the sidelines for several weeks.

He was substituted off in the 53rd minute of the match. He was replaced by French defender Lucas Digne, who is expected to start again on Tuesday.

Mendes was expected to be a key weapon in stopping Barcelona star Lamine Yamal, who is expected to be the biggest threat for the Catalan side and has been in outstanding form this season.
