‘The Daily Show’s’ Jordan Klepper Tackles Midterm Elections in Next ‘Fingers the Pulse’ Special (Exclusive)

Jordan Klepper is venturing back into the world of MAGA activists and diehards for his next Daily Show special.

The correspondent and anchor will break down the forthcoming midterm elections in The Daily Show Presents: Jordan Klepper Fingers the Pulse: Red Flags, which is set to premiere Oct. 26 on Comedy Central. The special is the latest in Klepper’s Fingers the Pulse specials, which have won the past two Emmy Awards for best writing for a nonfiction program.

Here’s the full description for the new special: “As the 2026 midterms approach, the MAGA coalition is seeing red flags everywhere: plummeting poll numbers, an unpopular war with Iran, rising gas prices and a pile of rubble where the East Wing once stood. Jordan Klepper hits the campaign trail, traveling across the country and discovers McCarthy-era red scare tactics, right wing Texans obsessed with God’s genitals, and a group of Trump diehards who have turned tail on the MAGA movement. Can President Trump hold his fraying coalition together, or will these red flags lead to a blue wave? Klepper tries to find out.”

Prior to his most recent special, subtitled Give That Man a Prize (this year’s Emmy winner for nonfiction writing), Klepper told The Hollywood Reporter about how the half-hour shows let him go deeper into a topic than a regular Daily Show segment does.

“You get a chance to have a larger argument and really dive deeper into these conversations,” he said. We use the man on the street, the conversation out in America, as a jumping-off point. …We take those arguments that we see out on the streets, and then we stress test them.”

The Daily Show Presents: Jordan Klepper Fingers the Pulse: Red Flags will premiere at 11:30 p.m. Oct. 26, following The Daily Show. It will stream on Paramount+ and The Daily Show YouTube channel the following day.
