Abhishek Sharma produced a breathtaking display of power-hitting against New Zealand in the third T20I on Tuesday, smashing 113 off just 38 balls. His innings featured nine fours and 11 sixes.
Abhishek reached the milestone with a top-edged four off Kyle Jamieson. He celebrated by smacking the next two balls for a six and a four before getting caught off the last ball of the 10th over.
The century was his fourth in T20Is, taking his career tally to 2,236 runs at a strike rate of nearly 200, underlining his ability to score at a phenomenal rate.
Abhishek had earlier stitched together a sensational 133-run opening stand with Vaibhav Sooryavanshi, tearing New Zealand’s bowling attack to shreds.
India eventually won the match by six wickets to take an unassailable 3-0 lead in the five-match series.
