Durosinmi Thrilled To Rescue Point For Genk Against Gent

Rafiu Durosinmi has expressed his delight after helping Genk secure a point in their 1-1 draw against KAA Gent in the Belgian Pro League on Sunday.

The Smurfs fell behind after just 10 minutes when Momodou Sonko put the visitors ahead.

Durosinmi restored parity two minutes after the restart, scoring his fifth league goal in six appearances for Genk this season.

Durosinmi Reflects On Difficult Draw

The Nigeria international was subsequently named Man of the Match and was pleased with both his individual performance and the team’s result.

“I am happy to have been voted Man of the Match again. It also feels good to be the top scorer at the moment,” Durosinmi said, according to the club’s official website.

“In football, anything is possible, but you have to believe in it. My family and my wife are here to cheer me on, and that feels good.

“It certainly wasn’t an easy match. Considering the fact that they hardly conceded any goals, this is quite a good performance. Now, we mainly need to remember the positive points and take them with us to the next match.”

Genk will look to return to winning ways when they travel to face Club Brugge in their next league fixture on Sunday.
