Danantara forum seeks global investment in Indonesia's technology

Jakarta (ANTARA) - Indonesia's sovereign wealth fund, Danantara, is preparing to host the 2026 Danantara Technology Innovation Investment Forum (DTIIF) to attract global investors to support technology-driven industrialization nationwide.

Danantara Chief Technology Officer Sigit Puji Santosa, who chairs the 2026 DTIIF, said Indonesia possesses abundant mineral resources and a vast domestic market, alongside access to the broader Southeast Asian region.

"What we are trying to do now is nurture talent and build industries, and this is what we offer investors through a roadmap that we will outline," Santosa said in a statement on Saturday.

Santosa noted that the 2026 DTIIF forms part of Danantara's strategy to foster an industrial ecosystem anchored in technology, innovation, and long-term investment.

The envisioned ecosystem will also be driven by domestic resources and market demand, he added.

Scheduled for Oct. 26–28 in Jakarta, the forum is expected to convene economic leaders, experts, and executives from global technology companies to connect innovation, capital, and industrial opportunities in Indonesia.

The event will feature presentations by Danantara directors on investment portfolios across six strategic sectors: energy; agriculture, food, and health; advanced materials and semiconductors; transportation and infrastructure; finance and banking; and AI, digital infrastructure, and telecommunications.

"Discussions will focus on promoting the use of technology and innovation to advance national industrialization," Santosa said.

He noted that Danantara expects the forum to generate concrete commercial partnerships and investment projects.

"The success of the DTIIF will be measured by what is built after it concludes. Every partnership, MoU, and pipeline project generated through this forum will be followed up to ensure that commitments are translated into impactful projects," Santosa said.

He emphasized Danantara's goal to serve as a catalyst for technology-driven industries in Indonesia.
