'Woke up to fabricated and fully FALSE narrative built around me': Sahiba Bali denies feud with Tamannaah Bhatia; says viral screenshot was edited

Actor and content creator Sahiba Bali has dismissed speculation about a disagreement with Tamannaah Bhatia after a screenshot purporting to show an exchange between them went viral. Sahiba said the image was fabricated or edited, adding that neither woman had made the statements attributed to them.

The screenshot circulated on Reddit and Instagram, creating the impression of a public dispute between the two actors.

Sahiba Bali Calls Viral Screenshot Fake

Sahiba Bali addressed the controversy through her Instagram Stories on Thursday. She said the screenshot presented a false account of her views and suggested that Tamannaah Bhatia had opposed her over remarks she never made.“Wow, woke up to a fabricated and fully FALSE narrative built around me saying something (which I never have) and a fellow female talent apparently opposing me (which she never did)," she wrote.Sahiba also questioned why people would create misleading content using celebrities' identities to attract attention online. She said the image could have been generated using artificial intelligence or digitally edited.

Actor claims Tamannaah Bhatia never opposed her

Sahiba added that the alleged exchange had not taken place. She said both women knew the claims were false and urged people to exercise caution before believing viral posts.“We both know none of this is true, and it’s either AI or edited.

Brother, it’s too crazy how people will spend so much time to use your face as clickbait? Anyway, don’t believe everything you see," she added.Sahiba subsequently posted another brief message: “There’s a lot more to life than all this."The screenshot appeared to show Tamannaah questioning comments connected to a discussion about Goddess Durga and women who speak out or participate in protests. It created the impression that Tamannaah had publicly challenged Sahiba's views.

However, Sahiba has denied making the original statement and said Tamannaah never posted the response attributed to her. Tamannaah had not publicly confirmed the purported exchange at the time of Sahiba's clarification.

Sahiba Bali previously spoke about online hate

The controversy follows Sahiba's earlier comments about the abuse she receives on social media. In previous posts, she shared screenshots of hostile messages and described the difficulties of discussing public issues without facing personal attacks.“I heard a lot this year. For absolutely no reason. I don’t support hatred of any kind. There might be narratives made which are manufactured — I address differences with compassion and not divide. I hope they can too. There’s too much hate in this world," she wrote. In another post, Sahiba expressed her frustration over the situation and indicated that she was tired of dealing with the criticism. “I honestly am done. They won, I lost. I’m sorry." She also said she felt targeted whether she chose to speak about an issue or remain silent.Sahiba Bali has worked as an actor and content creator. Her film credits include Imtiaz Ali's 2024 biographical drama 'Amar Singh Chamkila', in which she played a journalist.
