Stock index futures advanced ahead of Monday’s opening bell as investors set aside last week’s AI-driven volatility and positioned for a rebound.
Here are four stocks to watch on the day:
CoreWeave (CRWV) shares popped more than 6% in premarket trading on Monday after Goldman Sachs upgraded the neocloud company, citing expectations that its contract economics will prove stronger than many investors currently anticipate.
Micron (MU) and SanDisk (SNDK) gained roughly 4% in Monday’s premarket session, recovering from last week’s selloff, even as shares of Chinese memory chipmaker ChangXin Memory Technologies dropped 7.77% in Shanghai despite the company reporting a sharp swing to a large profit.
Shares of SpaceX (SPCX) are front and center after Elon Musk said he intends to give every child in the United States one share of SpaceX next year, calling the proposed giveaway the “first of many” in a post on X. “Next year, I will give one of my SpaceX shares to every kid in America. This will be the first of many,” Musk wrote.
Ameriprise Financial (AMP) was double-downgraded to Underperform from Buy at BofA Securities on Monday, with the firm citing a near-term acceleration in financial advisor departures as the key driver behind the rating change.
