Red Dead Redemption 2 Free Download Officially Available Until November 4

Despite its success, there is no denying that Red Dead Redemption 2 has not had as much attention as its sister series, Grand Theft Auto. After all, in between the launch of RDR2, Rockstar was working on what is now considered the most anticipated video game of all time, Grand Theft Auto VI, and, as such, the Wild West has been left somewhat in the dust.

That being said, there are still plenty of gamers who would prefer to hop upon a horse and live out their cowboy dreams than head to Vice City, and luckily, they are able to achieve this by booting up Red Dead Online.

It may not have had the same attention as Grand Theft Auto Online, but with Rockstar regularly adding new and exciting content to the Red Dead Redemption 2 online component, it is always worth seeing what the game has to offer, and this November is no exception.

With Red Dead Redemption 2 still not having any DLC, many fans have turned their attention to Red Dead Online, and for November, they can expect the continuation of some Halloween-themed events. Running now until 4 November, brand-new challenges, rewards, and cosmetics are up for grabs for a limited time, with the official event synopsis reading as follows:

"Haunting season has reached the frontier, treating Red Dead Online players to hefty bonuses for the hair-raising adventures in Strange Tales of the West. Get 4X RDO$, Gold, and XP all month long for investigating these weird and unexplained phenomena that include shambling undead, ornery swamp folk, and reports of artificial life. And that's merely the beginning…"

As the event began back in early October, a large majority of the challenges and free rewards have now passed. However, there is still time to get your hands on some freebies before 4 November. One such example is the ability to earn the orange Benbow Jacket. To grab this free cosmetic, simply play the All Hallows' Call to Arms game mode between now until 4 November.

If you are on the lookout for increased rewards, however, you are in luck, as partaking in the Naturalist role can see you earn the following rewards:

• 3X RDO$, Role XP and XP on Naturalist Sample Sales
• 3X RDO$, Gold and XP on All Hallows' Call to Arms
• 3X RDO$ and XP on Featured Series
• 4X RDO$, Gold and XP on Strange Tales of the West Telegram Missions

As mentioned, this Halloween-themed event will soon be leaving Red Dead Online, and as you can probably expect, will not be returning until this time next year. So, if you wish to grab the Benbow Jacket and earn some extra RDO$, Gold, and XP, you have just a few days left to log on and catch up on the challenges.

With Grand Theft Auto VI set to launch this November, we can only hope that Rockstar will turn its attention back to its Red Dead franchise. However, whether this means a slight Red Dead Online update or a brand-new installment, remains to be seen.
