Big Brother unveils TWO new housemates in surprise live twist

Translate

Big Brother has unveiled a pair of new housemates in a surprise live twist. Moments after Johanne lost to Rochelle in tonight's highly divisive eviction, newcomers Catrin and Twinks were inserted into the chaos - much to the surprise of the other contestants.

Catrin, 23, is an SEN teaching assistant who described her personality as akin to "Donkey from Shrek". Twinks, meanwhile, is a 36-year-old who said in her introductory VT: "The look I'm going for is 'somebody's third wife'."

They are entering the compound as part of the House of Revelations, the series' latest week-long theme.

Speaking ahead of her foray into the highly-rated series, Twinks said: "I think people will be suspicious of me. I know that I’m a big character and I don’t think people are going to think I’m necessarily genuine or authentic off the bat - I’m going to have to earn their trust.

"I’m going in there with cheeky, fun, light, joyful energy rather than to cause trouble - I’m not that kind of troublemaker. I’m a professional party starter so that is what I would like to bring to the House. And hopefully try and mend some rifts - get everyone laughing and dancing together!"

Having already seen some of the show, she added: "I’m excited to meet Rob and Sam - I think that’s where you’ll find me. I’m a silly goose in high glam.

"I really have no interest in talking s**t behind people's backs or being shouted at. I do not want to be shouted at. I just want to sing some show tunes!"

Catrin, meanwhile, said the person she's most excited to meet in the flesh is Philip. "I feel like there’s more to him than what we’ve seen," she reasoned.

"I think right now we’ve seen the calm Philip - the Philip who’s been there floating. I feel like there’s more. And I’m excited to meet Harry as well – everyone says he’s messy, but I’m intrigued to see if he is actually messy."

On her decision to take part, she explained: "It was really on a whim. I [applied] after I’d had a glass of wine. I watched it last year and thought ‘this is a bit of me’.

"One thing about me is I love being in front of a camera. So the thought of being sat in the Diary Room talking to Big Brother is wild. I love it."

Big Brother next airs on Sunday at 9pm on ITV2 and ITVX.
