MELAKA: The Education Ministry is leaving the investigation into suspicious packages found at nine schools in Negri Sembilan to the police, says Education Minister Datuk Seri Fadhlina Sidek.

She said the ministry remained vigilant about suspicious items found at schools nationwide and stressed the importance of prioritising school safety.

"We urge all principals, headmasters, and school personnel to remain vigilant and prepared, especially when it comes to matters involving school safety.

"Once again, we would like to thank the police for ensuring that all aspects of security are given priority," she said after officiating the 'Fadhlina Membaca' Women's Reading Club with the Education Minister here today.

Yesterday, Negri Sembilan police chief Datuk Alzafny Ahmad confirmed police received nine reports concerning suspicious packages found at several schools in Nilai and Tampin.

Alzafny said inspections revealed all the boxes contained wheat flour and plastic plates.
