Pedestrian injured and driver wanted after alleged hit-and-run near Brisbane

A pedestrian suffered serious injuries and a driver is wanted by police after an alleged hit-and-run east of Brisbane.

The man in his 50s was struck on Finucane Road in Ormiston before 8pm on Friday.

He was found with chest, pelvic and arm injuries and taken to Princess Alexandra Hospital by paramedics.

Paramedics took the man to Princess Alexandra Hospital with chest, pelvic and arm injuries.

Police believe he was hit by a ute of an unknown make and model.

The driver fled the scene before emergency services arrived.

Queensland Health confirmed on Saturday morning that the man remained in hospital but was in a stable condition.

Anyone who saw the crash, its aftermath or had relevant information was urged to contact police.
