Arnold Clavio filed a cyberlibel complaint against Mario Ceniza Jr. the alleged bodyguard of former House Speaker Zaldy Co, who alleged that the veteran news anchor and host were among those who received money from anomalous flood control projects.

Ceniza was among those who attended a June 2026 press conference organized by former Anakalusugan Rep. Mike Defensor, where he accused several personalities, including media figures and celebrities, of benefiting from the alleged scam. Among those he named was Clavio, whom he claimed to have delivered cash to in a brown paper bag.

Clavio has denied the allegations.

“Today, I stand for the truth. Sa paghahain ko ng cyberlibel case, naninindigan akong ipaglaban ang aking pangalan at kredibilidad. Dahil sa huli, walang mas mahalaga kundi ang malinis na pangalan, matapat na kredibilidad, at katotohanang mananaig,” he said on Instagram.

“Today, the truth will be triumphant,” he further said. The Kapuso host likewise thanked his home network and his supporters.

Clavio said his filing of the complaint was not meant to take revenge against Ceniza, but to correct the disinformation that he spewed at their press conference that gravely tarnished his name and reputation.

“Ang pangalan ang natatanging pamana na iniwan ng nasira kong ama at hindi ko ito hahayaan na masira,” he said, adding that his complaint does not only seek redress for the allegations that he had received money tainted with anomaly, but also to exact accountability from those who issue false statements that tend to besmirch his reputation and credibility.
