The Indian team will carry a new look in Aichi-Nagoya, Japan, with the Indian Olympic Association (IOA) having unveiled the official contingent jersey at a send-off ceremony on September 8 in New Delhi.

What is the concept behind Team India’s Asian Games 2026 jersey?

The central idea behind the kit is ‘Invisible Trajectories’.

The concept takes inspiration from the invisible paths athletes create through movement — whether running, jumping, throwing or lifting. Those have been translated into intricate, spirograph-inspired patterns, turning motion into a visual design.

According to JSW Inspire, the official sport and lifestyle kit partner of the Indian Olympic Association for the 2026 Asian Games, the idea was to make athletic movement itself a part of the design language.

Who designed the Indian Asian Games 2026 kit?

The kit was designed by Aaquib Wani, who has previously worked on Team India’s apparel for major multi-sport events. He had also designed India’s 2026 Commonwealth Games kit, where the same concept was used.

The Asian Games collection is part of JSW Inspire’s wider Team India apparel range.

What does the Team India Asian Games jersey look like?

The official travel jersey has navy blue as its primary colour, while the training jersey is royal blue. The wider collection also includes a navy blue track jacket, varsity jacket, hoodie, polo and other apparel.

It also incorporates subtle tricolour detailing, providing a reference to the national colours without overpowering the design. JSW Inspire describes the jersey as being made from lightweight performance fabric, with specially engineered sleeves.
