Red Bull confirms Isack Hadjar’s return for Azerbaijan Grand Prix

French driver Isack Hadjar will return to Formula One action at this weekend’s Azerbaijan Grand Prix after missing the last three rounds, Red Bull confirmed on Tuesday.
The 21-year-old was sidelined for the Dutch, Italian and Spanish Grands Prix after suffering a wrist injury while training during the summer break. New Zealander Liam Lawson stepped in for Hadjar during his absence.
Before his injury, Hadjar had enjoyed an impressive campaign, highlighted by a podium finish at the Monaco Grand Prix. He has 71 points and sits eighth in the Drivers’ Championship.
“Oracle Red Bull Racing is delighted to welcome Isack back this weekend,” the team said in a social media post. “Having made a successful recovery from his wrist injury, Isack will return to action at the Baku City circuit on Thursday.”
Lawson will move back to Red Bull’s sister team, Racing Bulls, for the Azerbaijan weekend. Japan’s Yuki Tsunoda had replaced Lawson in the Racing Bulls seat over the previous three rounds.
Lawson scored 14 points during his stint with Red Bull, while Tsunoda collected one point
